2025-08-19 Tattoos and Ghosties

I get a tattoo of a raven on my right forearm. It grants me Raven Queen's Gambit, which works like Strength of the Grave. I asked Chris if maybe it can help me contact Raven Queen on a big success.
Yarasule can't offer help finding Child of Dhermot (aka Teren), but thinks we need to do that at some point so he can train Marius' child. Yarasule thinks Child of Dhermot (aka Teren) is nearby Durnford
They do think Lolth may have been consorting with the Demon Wheel.
After Lightfall some gods were allowed to remain, both light and dark in order to keep balance.
- The Church is always on the lookout for fallen gods and goddesses trying to come back.
We should keep an eye out for crystals, Drow agents, portals, etc. to find out what's happening with the darkness coming into the world. See if we can figure out how it's happening.
Yarasule gave us a way to identify extraplanar Free Magic - Nia's Detect Magic spell.
Yarasule provided Nia Moonwhisper with a scroll for the Sending spell.
Yarasule offers to send us back to Yarasule's Trading Post at a time up to 12 hours before when we went in. There are some quirks:
- Our other selves will exist in the same time period. We can't interact with them but we will see them.
We head back to the Yarasule's Trading Post about 8am on 28 Midwake
We go check out the graves we had found previously - but the door is locked. Can't unlock it. Front door is locked too!
- Jeremy fails to unlock it.
- Pan hits it with her hammer.
- Krix goes through the front window Jason Bourne style.
- He hears a low sort of hoarse, breathy sound. A figure materializes. A young elven figure - tattered clothes, head cocked ot one side. It hisses. We roll initiative.
- It says "dead" and "murder" before we make a wisdom save. Krix is terrified.
- Another dead elf thing in workers' clothes appears inside. And then a third.
- I get terrified and break the window to try to save Panalin, Jeremy, and Nia Moonwhisper
- One of the creatures enters my mind, my senses are snuffed out
- It forces me to attack Jeremy! Nat 1 thankfully.
- Krix hits me with a dagger for 6 damage.
- Nia Moonwhisper casts hold person on me. Fails.
- I find myself in a spooky path with a not-dead-seeming version of the guy who lunges at me with a dagger. Rude. I search his pockets and find a wooden flute with elvish script on it. I push him away and
- Jeremy hits me with Fire Bolt and does 18 damage. Raven Queen's Gambit doesn't manage to save me. I am unconscious and stabilized by Jeremy. I tried to reach out to Yarasule for help with my mind.
- Nia Moonwhisper talks to Yarasule about her amulet and the drow crystal necklace. Her amulet pulses in time with the tattoo, which is of some fey plants.
  - Yarasule upgrade's Nia's Detect Magic to also detect if something magic is of the Free Magic variety.
  - They also gave her a vial of something.
Yarasule believes Marius and Dadwen are alive but not together
