2025-07-30 Discovering Yarasule

We had an epic hero montage moment as we are challenged by both a gigantic metal man and a metal dog. We go up, over, around, and under him in epic fashion, with only Jeremy taking a bit of damage.
The hound takes off towards us at full speed, but the bug we're following to find our way is moving at tiny bug speed.
I spread ball bearings behind us to slow the dog down.
We find the portal, a bit beaten up along the way, and dive through. Jeremy and I are unconscious as we fall through the portal.
After a time, we awake in a in a dimly lit glade, with thick mist all around. I try yelling out and my voice is muffled.
Apparently Nia Moonwhisper accidentally poisoned Jeremy with a candy from the leprechaun. Snakes in his belly?
We make it through the key puzzle because we're very smart, revealing another portal.
In a marshy glade, lots of plants. A small hut on stilts encircled by a magical living map of sorts. Very fey vibes.
We enter and find Biggle and Yarasule!!
Yarasule is clearly a tinkerer - tools and trinkets abound.
Child of Dhermot (aka Teren) is a master of disguise.
We get some answers:
- Yarasule does think Child of Dhermot (aka Teren) is this generation's Exemplar but didn't finish their training.
- Jeremy learns to control their hat!
- Yarasule offers us magical tattoos with minor magical boons
- Yarasule senses a touch of the demonic in me. Demonic forces are unpredictable - very different from the magic of the three primary realms. Suggests I check in with my goddess.
- Demonic magic is unbound to The Weave and is dangerous.
- Yarasule seemed surprised by the news about the Drow
- Yarasule is planning their next life.
- Confirmed that the amulet that controls the crystal we encountered on Glanduin Island is free magic.
- Drow are not typically so well organized.
- Considered whether Lolth perhaps gained some form of demonic powers.
- Yarasule needs our help. Wonders if some of the baddies are maybe getting their hands on some hardcore Free Magic
- We left the drow amulet for Yarasule to study. They will contact us eventually.
- We tell them about the sending stone we found and the riddle. Apparently its from a Drow poem in praise of Lolth. "The shadow is the life-giver. The womb of the world."
- We should seek out Child of Dhermot (aka Teren). A necklace with a token one side w/princess other side different for each Exemplar. Yarasule's has a bow.
- Zaither wonders if Magic Mike could be Child of Dhermot (aka Teren)
